Australian software studio · Australia

The board isn't the problem. Doing it all twice is.

B3 Software Solutions is a two-person studio run by Nathan Butler and David Butler. We map how work actually moves through your business — quotes, scheduling, job notes, invoices — then take the repeated parts off you. First conversation is free, first stage is fixed price.

An ordinary week on the wall example board — not a client's
To quote 4 waiting
  • Bathroom reno — Hallam St

Quoted on the docket, then typed into the spreadsheet.

  • Fence replace — 60m

    Waiting on measurements from Tuesday.

  • Callout — switchboard

    Priced from memory. Again.

  • Shed slab

Quote sent 9 days ago. Followed up? Unclear.

Scheduled This week
  • Tue — 2 installs, 1 van

  • Wed — carried over from last week

Third time this job has moved.

  • Fri — service run, 4 stops

On site Now
  • Job 1184 — variation on the day

    Agreed verbally. Not written anywhere.

  • Job 1179 — running long

Invoiced Or not
  • 3 jobs finished, not invoiced

    Done a fortnight ago.

  • Chasing payment — 41 days

  • Paid — job 1166

↑ Every red note is the same thing: work that already happened, happening again.

Three things we take off the board

Every small business is different, but the problems rhyme. These are the ones we solve most, and they are usually done in that order.

01

Web presence and discoverability

A website that loads fast, reads well, and turns up when people search for you.

Most small businesses lose work before the first conversation — the site is slow, unclear, or invisible in search. We rebuild the public face of your business: fast pages, clear positioning, technical SEO, structured data, and analytics that tell you what is actually working.

  • Website design and rebuild
  • Technical SEO and structured data
  • Google Business Profile and local search
  • Performance, accessibility, and mobile
  • Analytics and conversion tracking
How this works

02

Automation of manual work

Find the repetitive admin eating your week, then remove it.

  • Process mapping and automation audit
  • Document, quote, and invoice generation
  • Integrations between existing tools
  • Scheduled reporting and data sync
  • Email and notification workflows
How this works

03

Custom systems

Software built around how your business works, not the other way around.

  • Internal tools and dashboards
  • Customer and client portals
  • Quoting and estimating software
  • Job, asset, and inventory tracking
  • Ongoing hosting, support, and iteration
How this works

Consulting

Short, practical engagements when you need a direction before you need a build.

  • Technology and systems review
  • Build vs buy decisions
  • Scoping and roadmap for a project
  • Second opinion on an existing quote or system

Then the board gets wiped

Not replaced with something you have to learn. Replaced with the same four steps, running by themselves, in software that fits how you already work.

  1. Step 01

    Talk

A free conversation about what is slowing the business down. No obligation, no pitch deck.

  2. Step 02

    Scope

We map the work, agree what is in and out, and give you a fixed price for the first stage.

  3. Step 03

    Build

Short delivery cycles with something you can look at and use early, not months later.

  4. Step 04

    Support

We keep it running and keep improving it as the business changes.

Talk and Scope cost you nothing but a conversation. You decide at the end of Scope whether Build happens at all.

Board Builder

Software for the companies that manufacture power switchboards and distribution boards. Lay the board out block by block and tier by tier, quote the job from that layout, and export it to CAD when the job is won.

  • Drag-and-drop block and tier layout instead of CAD for the quoting stage
  • The quote comes off the layout, not a separate spreadsheet
  • Export to CAD for detailed drafting once the job is won
  • Multi-tenant, so a company's team works on its own boards together

We are building it the same way we would build yours.

What is costing you the most time right now?

Email us and tell us about it. We will give you an honest read on whether software is even the right answer — sometimes it isn't, and we will say so.

Worth including

  • What your business does, and roughly how many people work in it.
  • The task or process that is causing the most pain right now.
  • What you use today — the software, spreadsheets, or paper it runs on.
  • Any timing or budget constraints we should know about up front.
